Indulging inside,
The monster hides.
Quenching it's thirst,
Your body's immersed.
No easy task
To get a stash that'll last
Always seeking more,
As it's your daily chore
You can never get enough
Even when you're spun
Tiny white chunks -
8balls and ounces,
Bongs, and hookahs
Needles, and lighters -
Sniffing on white lines
A trail to sudden death
So crazed in addiction
Your body sweats & shakes
The monster requests more -
You just can't ignore
Your body's immersed
Quenched in it's thirst
Indulged inside, the
Monsters satisfied

the monster within is a perfect way to describe it... its very shallow and not safe for those around you either... you never know what that monster will do once its unleashed.
Beautiful work!

And your eternal slumber
Legend shall speak
Of sacrifice at worlds end
The wind sails over the waters surface
Quietly, but surely

"You miss 100% of the shots you dont take"
But I think it's a good poem, and it illustrates the strength of addiction very well.

"Violence is always the answer. If you somehow believe violence is not the answer, you are asking the wrong questions. If violence is not solving your problems then you're not using enough of it. "

A great many open minds should be closed for repairs.
If you took off the "You're always seeking more," and the "Quenched in it's past thirst" it might flow better. Since we've followed the whole poem we know that this was in the past already.
Also you might want to try using "So crazed with addiction" instead of "You're crazed in addiction" It would get rid of the repetitiveness of the "your"
just some ideas
Have you ever read "Crank"? it's a book (not on da) and it's written almost like poetry, I think you'd like it. I think it's like the "Go Ask Alice" of our generation, but in non-diary form.
& yeah, that's funny that you ask, as I have been meaning to put that in my comments as that book, Crank was what actually inspired me to write my other poem, Walk with a Monster in Disguise [link]
Have you read the sequel to Crank? It's called Glass... [she has a few other new ones out, burned, n something else] But ya, I'm currently reading it... lol I visit the library to sit and read it. & also have read Go Ask Alice -great books
